Document Description
Repair of an existing covered deck structure and end of the pier. The project includes removing 4 wood pilings and driving 6 metal pilings. The pilings on the deck part of the structure are in poor condition and may not be able to withstand storm events. The project is adjacent to an existing pier/boatlift structure that connects to an existing seawall. Tules are present adjacent to the seawall but will not be impacted by construction activities.

Reasons for Exemption
Pursuant to California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Division 6, Chapter 3, Section 15302, Class 2, the project is repair of an existing private structure occurring within the pre-disturbed footprint of the original project. No littoral vegetation will be removed. All work in the lake will take place between October 15 and December 31. The Lake County Community Development Department has determined that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment and is, therefore, exempt from the provisions of CEQA. The project will not result in significant adverse environmental effects to wetlands or riparian habitats.
