Document Description
The proposed project consists of granting a special use permit to Melinda Borello for Melinda and Nathaniel’s Wedding at McNears Beach Park Area 8 reservable site including the lawn extension and approximately 160 parking spaces. The event would occur on June 22, 2024 between 12PM and 6PM. Set-up and take down would take approximately 2 hours prior and after the event. Approximately 250 participants are anticipated. The event would include amplified sound.

The project consists of issuing a special event permit at an existing facility for a public gathering. McNears Beach Park was designed with reservable space for this type of event and there is a past history of the facility being used for this purpose. There is a reasonable expectation that this event would not represent a change in the operation of the facility and that the event would not result in cumulative impacts; significant impacts on the environment due to unusual circumstances; affect the significance of historical resources. The project is not located within an officially designated scenic highway or on a hazardous waste site pursuant to Government Code Section 65962.5.
