Document Description
This project proposes to install a pulley system in the interior of the temple at Joss House State Historic Park to allow for the secure raising and lowering of two long and fragile silk banners that are original historic temple objects. Conservator’s will design the pulley system onsite and installation of the system will be overseen by an Historian to determine the best location and method of installation to ensure the finished work does not alter the historic appearance, feel and character-defining elements of the temple’s interior.
