Document Description
In response to storm damage to the Nacimiento Water Pipeline in early 2023, the San Luis Obispo County Flood Control and Water Conservation District installed emergency temporary piping to restore water supply delivery to the City of San Luis Obispo. During construction, it was discovered that additional restrained joints were needed to secure the connection between existing underground pipeline and the temporary piping. These restrained joints are proposed to be installed along the pipeline alignment at each pipe bell, up to 400 feet on either end of the temporary pipe installation using an excavator, skid steer, and 6’x6’ shoring boxes. All work will be performed in non-jurisdictional upland areas that have been previously disturbed during pipeline installation. The Project area will be returned to pre-construction conditions once completed.
