Document Description
A memorial site was erected alongside the Shell Reef Expressway at mile marker 1.9 and has continued to have additional items placed at the site, including objects affixed to the ground with concrete. The memorial did not go through CEQA process prior to being placed and will be removed by Parks staff. Park staff will use heavy equipment to carefully extract the concreted memorial items and set them on the nearby ground for the family to pick up. Landform will be returned to original contour. Up to one hole (2' diameter x 3' deep) may be dug to plant a native bush (i.e., indigo bush or dyebush) at the site. Standard project requirements have been incorporated into the project design; a copy of these measures can be obtained by contacting the project contact below.
