Document Description
The project proposes to replace the wood supports for the air pressure tank located in the historic Roundhouse at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park to allow for the continued use of the air tank to aid in repairing and restoring locomotives. If the wooden supports fail, the footing for this air tank will shift, compromising the tank and damaging the compressed air plumbing.

Project consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond current levels and is included as “Utility repairs or minor upgrades” in the Department of Parks and Recreation’s list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR §15300.4; and consists of projects limited to maintenance, repair, stabilization, rehabilitation, restoration, preservation, conservation, or reconstruction of historical resources, in a manner consistent with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, with Guidelines for Preserving, Rehabilitating, Restoring, and Reconstructing Historic Buildings (1995), Weeks and Grimmer.
