The project will replace existing underground fuel lines that connect the fuel tanks and fuel dispensers with new primary and secondary containment fuel lines at a County refueling station as test results of the secondary containment lines indicate they are not holding enough pressure. The existing fuel lines will either be removed or abandoned in place. Excavations are anticipated to extend a maximum depth of 10 feet. Soil testing will be conducted prior to the replacement of the fuel lines to determine if any leaks occurred; any soil contamination will be remediated according to applicable regulatory requirements. The project is anticipated to start in April of 2024 and is expected to take approximately 5 months to complete. No night or weekend work is anticipated.
