Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number SAC-49817-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, California Department of Transportation, as represented by Daniel Kwong. The project is limited to the replacement of the existing reinforced concrete, continuous slab southbound bridge (Bridge No. 24-0046L) with a new press brake steel tub girder structure. The new southbound bridge will be raised in profile to match the existing northbound bridge (Bridge No. 24-0046L), and the median gap will be reduced. Bridge replacement activities will include construction of approach slabs, joint seals, and a concrete median barrier to separate the north and southbound traffic lanes. The old southbound structure including all six of its existing piers will be demolished after the first half of the new structure is built, but prior to the placement of the second half of the new bridge. An existing, abandoned pipe culvert, which spans the right-ofway along the existing northerly earthen fill of both the northbound and southbound bridges, will be cut and removed for construction. Clearing and grubbing of vegetation including mature riparian trees will be required as indicated by the marked trees in the exhibit of the Agreement. Mature riparian trees not marked for removal will be avoided.
