Document Description
The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing to construct approximately 430 feet of Nelson Avenue from Baldwin Boulevard to Bodkin Avenue and 185 ft of Bodkin Boulevard to Hayes Avenue. Nelson Avenue and Bodkin Avenue are classified as local roads in the County of Riverside’s General Plan. Nelson Avenue and Bodkin Avenue are unpaved roads with a width of approximately 22 feet. The proposed project will include pulverizing, grading and moisture conditioning the roadway width, and paving with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Concrete.
The proposed project will also include:
• Utility adjustments if needed
• Salvage/removal and installation of new signs
• Trimming of trees

The project proposes to construct approximately 430 feet of Nelson Avenue from Baldwin Boulevard to Bodkin Avenue and 185 ft of Bodkin Boulevard to Hayes Avenue. The project in its entirety is consistent with Section 15301(c) because it does not create additional traffic lanes and involves no expansion of use of the existing roadway and associated facilities.
