The proposed project activities fall under the Class 1, 3, and 14 CEQA categorical exemptions. CEQA Guidelines Sections 15301 (Existing Facilities), 15303 (New Construction of Conversion of Small Structures), and 15314 (Minor Additions to Schools) provide the applicable categorical exemptions. The proposed solar equipment constitutes accessory structures and their installation involves the alteration of existing school facilities resulting in negligible or no expansion of existing or former use, and no increase in student capacity. The exceptions set forth under CEQA Guidelines section 15300.2 do not apply.
