Document Description
The overall Project purpose is to monitor the trash discharged from urban development stormwater systems. The Project is limited to installation of stainless-steel pipe extensions and nets on stormwater outfalls to capture the trash at the locations described in the Project Location section above. The trash capture devices will be attached using hand tools. Nets will be removed by hand or, if too heavy, will be removed by winch attachment on a pickup truck located beyond the stream banks. Monitoring will focus on storm events that trigger trash discharge and transport. The trash nets will be deployed prior to a storm event (minimum 3 per year) and removed within one to two days following the storm. There will be no impacts to vegetation.
