Document Description
The project will consist of rehabilitating (resurfacing treatment ) Various Roads, which are very damaged for approximately +/- 3 miles within the City of Clearlake. No new roads are being graded or created with this project. The resurfacing lane widths varies from 15 ft. to 30 ft. The project does not alter nor change any existing/historical drainage patterns, however there are existing culvert pipes that have been damage and will be replaced. All culverts will be replaced within the existing footprint. All roadways are single lanes in each direction (two-lane roads).

Reasons for Exemption
The Tree Streets Road Rehabilitation (resurfacing treatment of an existing roadway) Project qualifies for the Categorical Exemption, Class 1(c) – Existing Facilities from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as it is rehabilitating existing roadways that had incurred accelerated damage. The resurfacing lane widths varies from 15 ft. to 30 ft. The project does not alter nor change any existing/historical drainage patterns, however there are existing culvert pipes that have been damage and will be replaced. All culverts will be replaced within the existing footprint.. All roadways are single lanes in each direction (two-lane roads).
