Document Description
Emergency work to remove and replace a wood piling with a new steel piling on a boatlift. The pylon is buckling and needs emergency repair/replacement to prevent collapse and additional damage. The equipment used will include a crane stationed on a barge, a transport barge, and standard pile driving equipment. All materials will be transported via barge, except for a utility work vehicle which will be parked on the property driveway. The project is expected to take 2 days to complete.

Reasons for Exemption
The replacement and repair of the pylon is needed for safety reasons (to avoid collapse of the structure into the lake and disruption of aquatic habitat). The project is a repair of an existing private structure occurring within the pre-disturbed footprint of the original project. No littoral vegetation will be removed, and no Hitch were found within the project area. The project benefits the owner and guests of the residence.
