Document Description
The Refurbishment of Secondary Clarifiers at Water Reclamation Plant No. 10 (WRP 10) project (Project) proposes to refurbish two (2) secondary clarifiers at the Coachella Valley Water District’s (CVWD) WRP 10. This Project will include the removal, replacement of old, and deteriorating secondary clarifier components which include:
1. Removal of drive chains.
2. Removal and replacement of head shaft. Assembly of head shaft parts may be required.
3. Removal and replacement of collector chain.
4. Removal and replacement of wall sprockets.
5. Remove and replace flight wear shoes/blocks.
6. Remove and replace floor wear strips.
7. Remove and replace upper wear strips.
8. Repair and replace any other related hardware necessary for proper installation.
The Project is anticipated to take place over the course of 3 month; all work will take place on CVWD property. CVWD property site is located in rural residential areas, and is not within a conservation area of the Coachella Valley Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan (CVMSHCP).

State CEQA Guidelines §15302 (Replacement or Reconstruction) Class 2 consists of replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced, including the replacement or reconstruction of existing utility systems and/or facilities involving negligible or no expansion of capacity.
