Document Description
The project’s goal is to evaluate options to improve North San Pedro Road’s resiliency to the impacts related to sea level rise. Work will entail a geotechnical field exploration along North San Pedro Road. Work consists of six (6) cone penetration tests to determine the depth and thickness of Bay Mud and the location of the bed rock. Samples will be taken using rotary wash boring to extract soil samples to determine underlying soil conditions. Issue a Right of Entry Permit to Marin County Public Works to facilitate these tests.
All work conducted in association with the Right of Entry will comply with all State and Federal environmental laws, including but not limited to the Endangered Species Act, CEQA, and Section 5024 of the Public Resources Code.

Project consists of basic data collection, research, experimental management, and resource evaluation activities which do not result in a serious or major disturbance to and environmental resource. Project consists of minor alterations in land use limitations in areas with an average slope of less than 20%, which do not result in any changes in land use or density and is included as “issuance of easements and rights-of-way” in the Department of Parks and Recreations list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR § 15300.4.
