Document Description
This project is located within the City’s historic core and consists of constructing new streetscape improvements based on complete streets concepts. The project will remove all existing sidewalks and replace them with much wider sidewalk panels enhancing pedestrian connections throughout Old Town. The project will also install new street and pedestrian lighting, corner bulb outs, parkway landscaping, Class I bike routes on Bradford and Santa Fe Avenues, and over 100 new trees will be planted. In addition, new pedestrian and bicyclist amenities such as benches, trash cans and bike racks will be installed throughout the project area. Lastly, new enhanced crosswalks using decorative pervious pavers will be installed along with new asphalt pavement and the adjacent alleys will also be repaved with concrete.
