Document Description
Approval by the Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency of the City and County of San Francisco (commonly known as the Office of Community Investment and Infrastructure or “OCII”) of an amendment to the Mission Bay South Signage Master Plan to authorize the construction and installation of a third District Sign to be placed on the Site’s Gatehouse building overlooking the Main Plaza of the Event Center Premises, owned and operated by the Applicant (“the Sign”). The purpose of the amendment to add the Sign is to enhance the Event Center’s identity, placemaking and branding. The Sign’s copy is “Thrive City,” which is the designated name of the Main Plaza of the Event Center Premises and is related to a program by which the Applicant activates the Main Plaza in partnership with the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan. “Thrive” is a trademark of the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan. The Sign is an approximately 4-foot-tall by 27-foot-wide wall sign attached to the roofline of the Gatehouse building, facing eastward toward the interior of the Main Plaza. The amendment to the Mission Bay South Signage Master Plan to authorize this Sign is the “Project.”
