Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Class 2, Section 15302 Replacement and Reconstruction
Reasons for Exemption
The project qualifies for Class 2 exemption where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will be substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced. DMV considered the possibility of (a) location, (b) cumulative impact, (c) significant adverse change, (d) impacts to scenic highways, (e) activities within a hazardous waste site, and (f) the significance of a historical resource. The State has determined that no significant impact would occur to the environment and that no exceptions apply which would preclude the use of Class 2 exemption for the project.
