Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-TRI-44282-R1I, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Robert Jewett.
The project is limited to construction of a new seep well on the bank of the Trinity River and the diversion of water for domestic use. To accommodate construction, 100 square feet of forbs, grasses, and blackberry vines will be removed. The outer limits of excavation for the seep well will be located no closer than 10 feet from the edge of water, using a small excavator or backhoe to dig to a depth of 10-12 feet and approximately 10 feet wide at the top. Three, 36-inch diameter perforated concrete rings will be installed as the casings for the well and a ½ horsepower submersible well pump installed in the bottom to pump approximately 10 gallons per minute. The area around the concrete casings will be backfilled with 1 ½-inch clean drain rock, filter fabric, and the excavated material will be placed on top and contoured with surrounding ground. A diversion pipe will be trenched through the floodplain to the pumphouse.
