Document Description
The project will raise the two (2) bronze statues “Discus Thrower” and “Winged Victory,” located on the west terrace of Hearst San Simeon State Historical Monument higher off the ground to prevent further damage. Under supervision of a conservator, work will:
- Construct two (2) plain, inornate pedestals or bases each up to 3 feet in height out of concrete or wood; and
- Raise and attach the statues and secure them with clips to reduce potential earthquake damage.
