Kings and MWA are State Water Project Contractors that receive imported water deliveries from the State Water Project (SWP) pursuant to Water Supply Contracts which allow transfer of water under Articles 56 and 57 of such Contracts. With the 2023 State Water Project (“SWP”) allocation of 100%, Kings is anticipating that it will have Table A left unmanaged by the end of the year. MWA has capacity to take additional Table A water available in 2023. Under this transfer, Kings will make 300 acre-feet of its Table A Water available for transfer to MWA in 2023. Water will be delivered using existing SWP facilities, and in a manner similar to other deliveries from the SWP.
