Document Description
The project is for the delivery of up to 16,000 acre-feet of Palmdale’s SWP Water supplies to the KCWA. For every two acre-foot of Palmdale’s SWP Water delivered, one acre-foot will be delivered for storage in the Semitropic Water Banking for later recovery by Palmdale of that stored water less applicable losses through December 31, 2027. The other acre-foot will be transferred to KCWA on behalf of Semitropic. All deliveries are to be made by February 1, 2024.

a. SWP long-term water supply contracts include provisions for delivery within SWP place of use, including transfers between SWP contractors and temporary storage in groundwater storage facilities.
b. No construction is required to implement the proposed delivery.
c. The facilities are existing facilities that have not been expanded or modified to implement the proposed delivery.
d. There will be no change in land use.
