NOE - Notice of Exemption
Document Description
The project is limited to the disassembly and relocation of the existing boatlift structure to a new position further lakeward, accompanied by a 90-degree rotation. Lakebed disturbance will be limited to the introduction of twelve new 8-inch steel piles. The sequence of tasks includes the dismantling process, pile removal, pier extension, personal watercraft (PWC) Lift construction, new pile installation, and component reassembly. The initial phase begins with the removal of the upper deck, followed by the systematic disassembly of the mechanical components and the boatlift frame. Subsequently, the existing piles will stand independently, awaiting further action. Certified divers will undertake the precision task of cutting and extracting the existing piles using a crane, ensuring their safe and efficient removal from the site. To accommodate the relocated structure, a 20-foot pier extension is planned. The extension necessitates the installation of two 8-inch piles for structural support. The creation of a new PWC lift involves the addition of four 8-inch piles in the newly designated area. Six new 8-inch steel piles will be installed to support the relocation and reorientation of the new boatlift location, to enhance its stability and alignment. Following the installation of all piles, the project includes reassembly of all removed components, restoring the boatlift to its operational state.
