Document Description
Vegetation management and invasive species removal will be conducted along Mark West Creel Trail and the surrounding properties at Shiloh Ranch Regional Park adjacent to the trail. Invasive French and Scotch Broom will be removed manually by group of Conservation Corp members and dead or dying trees smaller than 12 inches in diameter will be removed using chainsaws. This work is meant to create a firebreak benefiting the regional park and surrounding properties. The vegetation management work will also provide hands on training for the Conservation Corps North Bay members involved in the project.

The project is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines Sections, Section 15304(i) Minor Alterations to Land. Fuel management activities within 30 to 100 feet of structures to reduce the volume of flammable vegetation, provided that the activities will not result in the taking of endangered, rare, or threatened plant or animal species or significant erosion and sedimentation of surface waters.
