Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in coordination with Mariposa County, proposes to install two gateway features and two murals located at the southern and northern intersections of State Route (SR) 140 and 49. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, installing or upgrading ADA ramps, sidewalks, installing/relocating signs, installing retaining curbs, installing two Feather Panel Arrays, installing landscaping vegetation and irrigation systems, and installing monument foundation. All work will occur within Caltrans right of way. The purpose of this project is to explore Mariposa’s native ecological systems and the connection between people and place. The need for this project is to beautify and improve local streets and roads, tribal lands, parks, pathways, and transit centers.
