Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to install intersection safety lighting on State Route (SR) 104 at postmile (PM) R 4.271, in Amador County, at the Mule Creek State Prison Driveway. A safety investigation was initiated upon request from Amador County Transportation Commission to evaluate the safety of the intersection and install lighting. the scope of work for this project is, but is not limited to, installing 2 Type 15 light poles, and installing conduit with conductors from Caltrans service pedestal to the utility pole. The purpose of this project is to improve visibility during the dark and reduce the number and severity of nighttime collision. The need for this project is to improve mobility of the traveling public by ensuring there is sufficient illumination at the intersection.
