Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes upgrading electrical equipment at thirteen locations within San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Alameda Counties. Depending on each location, the scope of work is to replace camera, cable and equipment, all sensors, and Remote Processing Unit and modem, while the existing modem pole, conduits, pull boxes, towers, and service are to remain in place. All work will occur within Caltrans Right of Way. The purpose of this project is to improve Traffic Management System (TMS) elements that are in poor condition. The need for this project is to ensure safe operation of the State Highway System.
