Document Description
The Project includes restoration of Sonoma Creek and its associated riparian habitat within the SO-foot Riparian Corridor setback, consistent with Section 26-65-030{6) and 26-65-040{Q) of the County of Sonoma Zoning Code. The project includes excavation of a lowered inset floodplain that widens the riparian corridor to create steel head rearing and refugia habitat across a range of flows. Widening the channel banks of the incised riparian corridor will help stabilize the failing banks to reduce fine sediment input, improving the quality of spawning gravels and food production downstream and promote natural processes that stabilize the channel. The total project area will encompass approximately 2.4 acres. The project is located on APNs 050-220-051 and 055-040-032 at Morton's Warm Springs Resort.
