The City of San Diego determined that the project would qualify to be categorically exempt from CEQA pursuant to Section 15301 (Existing Facilities) which allows for the demolition and removal of up three single family residences and accessory structures such as garages and Section 15303 (New Construction) which allows for the construction of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures including up to three single family residences or a second dwelling unit as well as accessory structures such as garages; and where the exceptions listed in Section 15300.2 would not apply.
