Document Description
Yuba County Public Works Department requests to revise an approved Environmental Assessment to develop and beautify Friendship Park located on a 22.2-acre parcel in the West Linda Community. The project is a beautification project that will transform what is essentially a vacant field into a vibrant community center through extensive landscaping, multiple art exhibits, features that celebrate the community’s cultural history, decorative fencing, over a mile of accessible walkways with adjacent shade structures to encourage extended visits, and multiple recreational facilities as requested by community members. The entire project falls within County-owned right-of-ways. The prior IS/MND was approved at the January 5th, 2022 Development Review Committee (DRC) meeting; however, several minor details were missing from the document, including information on water/irrigation supply, the installation of a new well, parking lot, and water fountains. Prior State Clearing House Number is 2023010362.
