Document Description
The original project is to convert the existing tray line meal service to a patient centric meal delivery system where each tray is prepared specifically based on same day menu choices with bedside service with meals delivered continuously from 6:45 am to 7:30 pm. This augmentation is for two purposes: 1) Additional funding necessary as a result of contractor bids submitted higher than the project budget ($550k) and 2) Introduction of additional project scope in same work area to include the replacement of the main dishwasher and the pot machine/monsoon dishwasher. The existing dishwashers are at the end of its life cycle and need to be upgraded promptly. The floor surrounding the dishwashers will get new epoxy due to cracks and failures in the existing flooring. The project will need to be completed in two additional phases to keep one dishwasher operational at all times.
