Document Description
"Re-imagine Eastern California Museum" is a multi-phase effort to bring the historic preservation and cultural interpretation of California's second largest and most isolated County up to 21st Century Museum standards. Guided by a collaborative team of established museum professionals, local representatives, and Tribal leaders, the Project uses nationally established, inclusive, best practices to develop content, reinterpret and display artifacts, and reconfigure 6,000 square feet of gallery space with multi-media exhibits and displays. The project will result in new interpretation that honors California's past and celebrates previously untold, historically under-represented Tribal and rural stories, as well as larger themes.
