Due to the foundation damage on Steel Pole T-21491 of the existing 92 kV MW2, MW3 and 34.5 kV PN transmission lines for Salton Sea Geo #2, Salton Sea Geo #3and Salton Sea Geo #5 geothermal plants, two immediate corrective actions will be taken: (1) construct a Shoe Fly and release all the wires from Steel Pole T-2491 and (2) remove Steel Pole T-21491, install a new steel pole and remove the Shoe Fly

Reasons for Exemption
The project is exempt under Section 15302 because the work comprises the replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced, as is the case of the replacement or reconstruction of existing utility systems; as well as under Section 15303 given that it involves the construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures; installation of small new equipment and facilities in small structures; and the conversion of existing small structures from one use to another where only minor modifications are made in the exterior of the structure like electrical utility extensions of reasonable length.
