Document Description
This Project has been developed to initiate a Capital Preventive Maintenance (CAPM)
project on State Route (SR) 4 from Contra Costa County Line to 0.2 Mile East of South Whiskey Slough Road between Post Mile (PM) 0.0 and PM 4.5, and from PM 4.9 to PM 8.9 in San Joaquin (SJ) County. The section of the roadway between PM4.5/4.9 is not included in this project as a result of Project 10-1F460 including roadway improvements. This project proposes to repair failed areas of pavement (dig outs) and then cold plane and overlay the existing pavement width from the eastbound edge of pavement (EP) to the west bound EP. Shoulder backing will be placed along the EPs in both directions. It also proposes to upgrade departure barriers, electrical elements of traffic management systems (TMS), lighting systems, and replace sign panels.
