Document Description
The Santa Clarita Community College District proposes to enter into a reimbursement agreement for the construction of a new driveway at the south leg of the Valencia Boulevard at Tourney Road intersection and realignment of Stadium Way (also known as W Road) with Tourney Road. The new driveway and realignment of Stadium Way would permit all turning movements for vehicles entering and exiting the northern and western areas of the College of the Canyons, Valencia Campus and from an adjacent property at 25048 Valencia Boulevard. Off-site roadway improvements would be made on Valencia Boulevard between Tourney Road and Stadium Way and at the current driveway apron on Valencia Boulevard and Stadium Way. The Project would improve traffic circulation and public safety at the Valencia Campus, the property at 25048 Valencia Boulevard, and along Valencia Boulevard.

The Project site is less than five acres in size and is substantially surrounded by urban uses. The Project site does not have habitat for endangered, rare, or threatened species. Project implementation would not cause significant effects related to traffic, noise, air quality, or water quality, and the Project can be adequately served by existing utilities and public services. None of the exceptions listed in CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2 apply to the Project.
