Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-MEN-43826-R1C, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Juana Saabedra. The project is limited to one encroachment. The single proposed encroachment is to upgrade an existing culvert. Work for this encroachment will include excavation, removal of the existing culvert, replacement with a new properly sized culvert, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring to minimize erosion.

The Saabedra Stream Crossing Project meets the criteria for categorical exemption types Class 1 and Class 2, California Code of Regulations, title 14, sections 15301 and 15302 because the project involves replacement of an existing stream crossing that will not result in an expansion of use. The stream crossing will be located on the same site as the structure replaced. There would be no significant adverse impact on endangered, rare or threatened species or their habitat pursuant to section 15065. The project will not result in impacts that are significant when viewed in connection with the effects of past projects, the effects of other current projects, and the effects of probable future projects
