Document Description
The Ontario Regional Sports Complex Project (ORSC) would allow for the development of a variety of recreation-oriented and supporting uses including a semi-professional Minor League baseball stadium, a commercial retail area, and a new City recreation center and aquatics center surrounded by a variety of baseball/softball, soccer, and multi-use fields on an approximately 199 gross-acre site in the City of Ontario. The ORSC would develop the ORSC site with 540,750 square feet of commercial building space, 450,000 square feet of stadium space, and 272,000 square feet of parking structure space. Development on the ORSC site would require expansion of sewer line within the Vineyard Avenue right-of-way in addition to street widening and intersection improvements along Riverside Drive and Chino Avenue, and Vineyard Avenue. Additionally, the ORSC site would be redesignated and rezoned to facilitate the proposed uses. To offset the loss of residential unit capacity on the ORSC site, 94 acres along the Vineyard Corridor, south of the ORSC site, would be redesignated from Low Density Residential to Medium Density Residential. Two parcels within the Vineyard Corridor (19.25 of 94 acres) would also be rezoned to include an affordable housing overlay.
