Document Description
The Project is limited to one encroachment across approximately 6.8 acres of Eel River floodplain and riparian habitats. Encroachment is for work associated with the development of the Rio Dell Eel River Trail Project, a paved Class I shared-use path, with a ten-foot-wide trail and two-foot-wide gravel shoulders. Work will include tree and vegetation removal, grading to achieve suitable slopes and trail width, rock slope protection, drainage and stormwater improvements, and the construction of ancillary trail features. Mitigation will include on-site invasive species removal and management, and riparian habitat restoration; details are contained in the revised Habitat Mitigation & Monitoring Plan prepared by GHD and received by CDFW on February 5, 2024
