Document Description
Caltrans is currently constructing a roundabout at the intersection of Highway 49 and Lincoln Way. During the excavation work of the roundabout, a leak was found on PCWA's treated water main and temporarily repaired. This section is a steel main originally installed circa 1965. Based on the condition and age of the main that was repaired, it is anticipated that the main is failing in other portions of the 230-foot section underneath Highway 49. This emergency repair of the treated water main will be installed within the roundabout construction project, existing roadway corridor and previously disturbed road shoulders.
