Document Description
Demolition and replacement of the existing wooden pier and boat lift. The pier and boat lift will be demolished with the assistance of a crane and a transport barge. All decking boards and supports will be removed and loaded on a barge to be disposed of at the contractor’s yard. The removal of 20 wooden 6x6 posts, and 6 wooden piles will be necessary to make way for the new steel piles that will support the 5’ x 105’ new steel frame pier and 16’ x 35’ boatlift. Thirteen 8-in steel piles for the pier and six 10-in steel piles for the boat lift will be installed.
The equipment is limited to a barge with onboard equipment and a utility work truck. The project
is estimated to take about 3.5 months to complete from the time construction begins. All construction equipment will be transported by water, except for the utility work vehicle.
