Document Description
Emergency road repairs needed as a result of 2022/2023 winter storm damage. Bridge 41C-127 located on Road 13 spanning Ash Slough composed of steel beams with a concrete two-lane deck. Flooding from heavy storm flows from within Ash Slough eroded the material behind the abutments, compromising their stability. Repairs will include excavation of material placed as emergency backfill, restoration of original channel material, and installation of riprap and erosion control.

The project consists of emergency repairs to public facilities damaged by 2022/2023 winter storms subject to federal, state, and local emergency declarations. The current state of damage creates conditions for further erosion, damage to public facilities, unsafe conditions for residents, and obstacles for emergency services. The project is necessary to address unsafe conditions for residents and obstacles for emergency services, and to restore and maintain service essential to public health, safety, and welfare.
