Document Description
The Project is removing, deconstructing, and backfilling remediation structures. The Project will remove five monitoring wells, two permeable reactive barrier (PRB) trenches, seven piezometers, and two PVC drainpipes (cut-off trenches). The site is located along the north side of Lucas Valley Road at mile post (MP) 5.08 and situated at the confluence of an ephemeral stream and Miller Creek. The remedial infrastructure was installed in response to the July 28, 2019, gasoline spill that occurred due to a tanker truck rolling off the road and spilling approximately 21,000 gallons of gasoline in the dry Creek bed. Construction staging will be located at 2400 Lucas Valley Road, and access will occur along existing trails. All temporarily disturbed areas within and adjacent to the Creek will be restored through native hydroseeding and covered with biodegradable jute netting to pre-project conditions.
