Document Description
The proposed project involves the replacement of an existing elementary school water system in Burrel, a disadvantaged community in Fresno County. Approximately 175 students and staff are served by the system. The present piping has corroded due to chlorination six times the Maximum Contaminant Level in the water, which has caused lead from the piping to dissolve into the water system. The Project will replace less than 1,500 linear feet of pipeline, various appurtenances at the well site, valves at various valve boxes throughout the project site, well site and chlorination equipment shade cover, and a 900-gallon hydro-pneumatic tank.
