Document Description
The project is for the delivery and storage of up to 20,000 acre-feet of Santa Clarita’s 2023 State Water Project Table A water (SWP Water) to the Rosedale-Santa Clarita Banking and Exchange Program by December 31, 2023. In exchange for using the Rosedale Water Bank and for recovery of a portion of that stored water less applicable losses through December 31, 2033. For every two acre-feet of Santa Clarita’s SWP Water delivered for storage, one acre-foot of that water will be retained by Rosedale. Santa Clarita will recover the remaining one-half of its stored water, minus losses, for use in its service area. The Rosedale-Santa Clarita Banking and Exchange Program is valid through December 31, 2033, or until Santa Clarita has recovered all of its stored water.

a. SWP long-term water supply contracts include provisions for delivery within SWP place of use, including transfers between SWP contractors and temporary storage in groundwater storage facilities. b. No construction is required to implement the proposed delivery. c. The facilities are existing facilities that have not been expanded or modified to implement the proposed delivery. d. There will be no change in land use.
