Document Description
The project is limited to the installation of a 750-foot-long storm water pipeline from Hudson Way to Arcade Creek for the purpose of relieving localized flooding along Hudson Way and the surrounding neighborhood during storm events. A new ditch box will be installed at the end of Hudson Way to collect storm water. Approximately 320 feet of 15-inch diameter Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) Standard Dimension Ratio (SDR) 35
pipeline will be installed from the new ditch box to a new manhole. From the manhole, approximately 430 feet of 15-inch diameter PVC SDR 35 pipeline will be installed, including an additional manhole, eventually connecting to Arcade Creek. A new pre-cast concrete outfall structure will be installed into the bank of Arcade Creek. (Exhibit B). The outfall will be approximately 0.5 feet and located above the ordinary highwater mark. A 24-inch by 24-inch section of hand packed rip rap will be place above the ordinary high water mark at the outfall structure to minimize erosion. Trenching will be the method used to for the pipeline installations. Vertical disturbance is not expected to exceed more than 5 feet below the ground surface. No concrete will be poured besides the placement of the drainage inlets and manholes which are all located
outside of Arcade Creek. A 10-foot wide access road will be constructed parallel to the pipeline to provide access for future operation and maintenance as needed.
