Document Description
This project will consist of site cleanup and minor improvements to the currently unused property at Dream Farm in Tomales Bay State Park to create a spike camp at the site to be used by California State Park Staff and state youth labor crews: California Conservation Corps (CCC), American Conservation Experience (ACE), and North Bay Conservation Corps (NBCC). This will allow crews to stay onsite for vegetation management and trail projects within Tomales Bay State Park and Samuel P. Taylor State Park without having to close campsites within the public campgrounds. Crews will: •Remove the remaining trailer axles, culverts, and other debris; •Remove approx. 25,000 square feet of vegetation in and around the immediate property: •Improve the existing gravel driveway and parking lot area to accommodate work and crew vehicles; •Improve the existing gate and update the locking mechanism; •Install signage regarding restricted usage; and •Utilize existing concrete foundations to created temporary canvas-walled tents and a mobile shower/combo.
