Document Description
The Project is limited to temporary stabilization of the scoured and eroded south bank of San Lorenzo Creek behind the properties of 1960, 1970, 1976, and 1980 Wingate Way. This includes removal of fallen trees that obstruct and redirect channel flow towards the embankment and existing retaining wall. Additionally, rock slope protection (RSP) will be installed in a large, scoured hole, along the south bank, and in front of the retaining wall, with backfilling materials placed behind the soldier pile retaining wall to reestablish the original grade of the private backyards. Cofferdams will be installed to allow for RSP construction; however, following a split of the stream by a small island caused by fallen vegetation, only the south branch will need to be dammed, and no pipe installation or pumping is expected.
