Reasons for Exemption
The City of Menifee has determined the above project is Categorically Exempt under CEQA Guidelines Section 15303 Class 3 (New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures). Class 3 consists of construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures; installation of small new equipment and facilities in small structures; and the conversion of existing small structures from one use to another where only minor modifications are made in the exterior of the structure. The proposed project consists of the construction of a wireless communication facility and an enclosure that will house the ancillary equipment. The enclosure will be 900 square feet in size with a 64 square foot shelter which is much smaller than the 2,500 square foot commercial threshold.
