Document Description
Contra Costa County Public Works Department (County) proposes to remove sub-standard Metal Beam Guardrails (MBGR) and end treatments and replace them with Midwest Guardrail System (MGS) and end treatments. Approximately 43 existing guardrails with a total length of approximately 14,238 linear feet, including end treatments, will be upgraded. The construction process will include removal and replacement of guardrails and posts, relocation of several guardrail posts near end treatments with grading as needed, and miscellaneous repairs as needed. Construction is currently anticipated to occur in summer 2024 and will take approximately 9 weeks to complete.
