Document Description
The project decommissions the existing x-ray machines on the first floor of the Surgery and Emergency Services Pavilion (SESP) in rooms 1P752, 1P754 and 1P758 and replaces them with the new UC Davis Health standard Philips equipment. The current x-ray units in the Department of Radiology have exceeded their useful life and run the risk of impacting patient services due to unforeseen downtimes. The machines are run continuously to meet current demand and need to maintain this level of service to meet Joint Commission certification requirements. The new units provide greater speed and image quality. The project will also implement minor room reconfigurations to allow better work flow and improve patient safety. The project scope includes the removal of the existing units, modifications to the existing utility infrastructure and control areas, and electrical upgrades to support the new units. Demolition will necessitate floor repairs, lighting upgrades, and repainting of the control rooms
